A RARE LARGER 5 1/2 inch tall beautiful antique MILK GLASS colored COSMETIC bottle put out by the OWL DRUG Co. What is remarkable about this bottle is that it still is corked and has the remnants of the colorful orange and blue PAPER LABEL on the back of it ( GLYCERINE and ROSE WATER ) identifying what came in it! This is an ORIGINAL ANTIQUE hand B lown I nto M old bottle ( BIM ) with a tooled top, dating it all the way back to very early 1900 . Bottle embossed : " The Owl Drug Co. ", with embossed picture of an owl perched on a druggists' mortar, stirring a pestle. The mortar is embossed with " TODCO / TRADE MARK ". TODCo = The Owl Drug Co . Condition : This bottle is in excellent clean near perfect condition, NO cracks, chips, dings, damage, etc. The label is worn and tattered, please see picture for better idea of LABEL'S condition . Age : A hand-blown bottle (Blown-In-Mold = BIM) with a tooled-top, ca. early 1900's . Shipping : FREE DOMESTIC shipping. This one is the 2nd largest size, just over 5 1/2 inches tall, a 6 oz. size. AND it is very seldom that you see the bottles over 5 inches tall, they are RARE! Most of these milk glass bottles contained cosmetic lotions and scents, hand/face cream, like Jergens lotion of today, hygienic cleansers, Calamine Lotion for poison oak, sun burn and skin cures, so the white bottles were a reflection of lotions they carried and the pure, clean, and unblemished look that would result from the use of them.
